Service Academy NominationsFlorida Congressional Representative Mike Waltz presented four FPC students with Military Service Academy Nomination Certificates on Tuesday January 25th in the Flagler Auditorium. The four students to receive this honor were Hailey Bovin, Schmidt Joseph, Logan Johnson, and Matthew Carr.

Each year Rep. Waltz nominates a limited number of students to four of the five military service academies. Students must apply and interview with the Service Academy Board, which is composed of military dignitaries and community leaders. Factors such as academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, leadership skills, physical aptitude, character and motivation are taken into consideration. A select few are chosen to receive the nomination.

All four of our students have applied to multiple service academies, and are awaiting their acceptance. Cadets Joseph, Johnson, and Carr are all in the FPC JROTC program
