Dear Bulldog Family,
We are quickly approaching the final stretch of the 2012-2013 school year. I find the following words to be a great guide to help all of us stay focused and successful as we wrap up what has been a fantastic year so far.
If you make the unconditional commitment to reach your most important goals, if the strength of your decision is sufficient, you will find the way and the power to achieve your goals.
Robert Conklin-American Educator
These are wise words to focus on whether our students are approaching graduation, End of Course exams, or simply completing their current year and planning for the next.
Our students and teachers have been working diligently on preparing for the upcoming End of Course Exams and FCAT assessments in reading, algebra, geometry, biology and American History. Please be sure to check out the multiple tutoring opportunities on our website for all of these areas. Tutoring is offered on several days both face- to- face and online. Transportation is provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that all students may take advantage of this opportunity. Committing the time to seeking this support is a great example of students and families dedicating themselves to the effort required to reach the goal of meeting this graduation requirement.
Our community continually demonstrates their commitment to the goal of helping all students become successful citizens both now and beyond their high school years. We see the depth of their belief in this goal through their generous support of scholarship dollars, commitment to hundreds of hours of mentoring, and participation in events such as the recent career fair at FPC where over 40 businesses shared information with 1200 students.
Setting goals means constantly looking to the future and carefully considering the steps needed to reach our ultimate desired achievements. Students and families are currently selecting the courses and programs they seek to be a part of for next year as course selection sheets are distributed. Please be sure to consider these decisions carefully and seek information on our website or through our guidance department. There are many options for students to personalize their education path such as the International Baccalaureate Program, the i3 New Tech Academy, and multiple career cluster programs. Please be sure to visit our website at www.fpcbulldogs.com for more information on these options as well as many other activities and events occurring at Flagler Palm Coast High School.
We are grateful to the entire extended Bulldog family who work tirelessly on behalf of our students to help Flagler Palm Coast High School continually strive towards the district goal of becoming the nation's premier learning organization.
Yours in education,
